The purpose of the "Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare" program is to train participants in the design, parameterization and implementation of machine learning algorithms. In this context, the step-by-step learning of all the stages of machine learning will take place, both in terms of creating models and evaluating them. The algorithms to be studied, binary and non-binary and regression algorithms, cover a wide range of problems. Also, the process of data preprocessing (text and image), as well as the training, parameterization and use of the appropriate machine learning model, will be presented comprehensively.
Through the specialized modules of the program, the trainees will have the possibility to optimally configure the algorithms required depending on the type of problem they face. In addition, they will become familiar with the application of machine learning algorithms to real problems in the health sector, where they will be able to implement examples using datasets with real data. The above will be combined with examples and exercises implemented in python programming language.
In addition to classic machine learning, participants will be exposed to cutting-edge technology, machine learning on embedded systems platforms, where the model, after its creation, is completely disconnected from the computer where it was trained and transferred to the device with multiple benefits in consumption, speed of predictions and security of sensitive personal data.
Finally, backend platforms capable of supporting the entire process will be presented, as well as the basic concepts of security in the context of Blockchain technology. In particular, three basic concepts will be presented: decentralization, consensus mechanisms and basic cryptographic techniques, as well as the way in which these elements work together to ensure integrity, immutability ) and data protection in large systems and platforms using blockchain technology. The program is aimed at graduates of University Education/TEI in the field of natural sciences at home and abroad, who are interested in delving into applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms in the health sector. Program Prerequisites: Bachelor's Degree required.
